"In essentials, unity;

                                                            in non-essentials, liberty;

                                                                 in all things, charity."

WHAT WE BELIEVE

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

While believers have differing opinions about many religious matters, expressed in various creeds and statements of faith, we seek to be united on the basis of Scripture alone and around the core matters of faith made clear in Scripture.

*****

We believe there is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that He is the Creator of all things.

Genesis 1, Romans 8, Ephesians 1:13-14, Matthew 28:16-20

We believe that in the Father’s love, He sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins, and rise from the dead.

John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:1-8

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and is the final authority in life and doctrine.

2 Timothy 3:16

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. All have sinned, but all can be saved. This salvation is available for any who put their trust in Christ as Savior.

Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:16

We believe that those trusting Christ are called to repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized.

Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38

We believe the church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and teaching the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Ephesians 4:1-16, Matthew 28:16-20

We believe that Christ will one day return and that all His faithful disciples, dead and living, will meet Him and be with Him forever.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

We believe that we are called to pray and that God hears and answers the prayers of His children.

James 1:5, James 5:16, 1 John 5:14

We believe that in all matters we are commanded by Jesus to love one another.

John 13:34-35, John 15:12-13, 1 John 4:7-12
